MR. JAMES (Jim) LEWALL
Jim Lewall started with the Cadet organization as a volunteer with the Navy League of Canada. He moved on to volunteer with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corp in Gibsons, BC. Jim then went to Grand Forks, BC where he became a Civilian Instructor with the Air Cadets. He enrolled as an Officer Cadet in May of 2005 subsequently taking on the role of Commanding Officer in November of 2005. Jim retired with the rank of Captain in 2007.
After Jim’s retirement from the Cadet Instructor Cadre, he stayed on at 841 Boundary Squadron as a Civilian Instructor until 2019 when 841 Boundary Squadron and the Squadron Sponsoring Committee were disbanded.
Jim was invited to join the Air Cadet League of Canada, BC Provincial Committee as a volunteer/ League representative. His many years of experience at the squadron level, as a volunteer and working closely with the Squadron Sponsoring Committees (SSCs) gave him a unique insight into being able to assist and mentor other SSCs. Recently Jim was the League Representative for 561 Nelson and 531 City of Trail SSCs.
Jim and his wife Charlotte continue to live at Christina Lake. He has four adult children and enjoys both sailing and karate.
On behalf of all of the BC Provincial Committee Board of Directors and League members, we wish you all the best in your future endeavours! We know that any organization you are a part of will only benefit from your knowledge and patience as a valued educator and Volunteer.
A fond farewell to a dedicated and valued Volunteer to the Air Cadet Program.
