SQUADRON HISTORY:
787 Banshee in Mackenzie was formed on January 20, 1984.
The Squadron was formed by Harvey Truax and sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 273. The Squadron is named after the Navy Jet Fighter, F2H-2 Banshee, that flew with the Royal Canadian Navy and was stationed on the aircraft carrier called the HMCS Bonaventure in the late 1950’s. The Squadron started with 50 cadets.
