The BCPC is pleased to announce and welcome Ted as League Member and League Representative for 747 Unicorn (Terrace).
Gordon (Ted) Moss was born in Kitchener, Ontario, and raised in Smiths Falls, Ontario. After graduating from SFDCI (Smiths Falls District Collegiate Institute), he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and served for four years from 1967 to 1971.
He married and raised two children in Ottawa, Ontario where he worked in retail building supply sales for various companies, with his last position being with Home Hardware Building Supply. He joined the local Legion in Perth, Ontario, and rose through the ranks to become President.
In 2014, Ted moved to Terrace, British Columbia, to be near his daughter and grandchildren. There, he became involved with the 747 Unicorn Squadron Air Cadets in Terrace. He initially volunteered to help with building maintenance for the Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) and later became Director at Large for two years. He was then unanimously voted in as Chair, a position he served for four years. He found it interesting and enjoyable to watch 12-year-olds grow up within the cadet program and age out with their achievements.
Continuing his service to the cadet program, Ted now serves as the BCPC League Representative for Terrace and always looks forward to helping the 747 SSC Chair and Directors in any way he can.
Giving back to the community is very important to Ted. Since his retirement in 2020, he is the President of the Terrace Old Age Pensioners Association.
Congratulations – we all look forward to working with you!
